We had a fantastic stay at Le Relais Du Chapeau Rouge in Saint-Loup-Lamaire. The two ladies who run the place were outstanding. They were friendly, efficient, and accommodated all of our requests with a smile. The food was also a highlight - it was well-presented and incredibly enjoyable. The village itself is absolutely charming, with narrow streets and a lovely garden where we could safely store our bikes. And all of this came at a very reasonable price. We would highly recommend this hidden gem for anyone looking for a peaceful getaway off the beaten path in rural France.

We stayed in a wonderful property in a charming, little village in Poitou-Charentes. The hotel is tucked away close to the river Thouet, with lovely narrow streets. The garden was delightful, such a perfect place to dine and enjoy drinks. Our room was great, clean, and well-appointed. Breakfast was plentiful and had everything we needed.

The rooms at Le Relais Du Chapeau Rouge are really cool and modern. They have these LCD TVs with TNT, which makes me feel like I'm in a fancy movie theater! Plus, each room is uniquely decorated, so it feels like you're staying in a place that's just for you. I love how the rooms also have their own bathrooms, so there's no need to share with anyone else. It's like having your own little private oasis!

Honestly, I did find one thing that I didn't love about this place. They have tea/coffee makers in the rooms, which is great, but I wish they also had a seating area.

A meal at the restaurant was decent enough, and the regional wines were delightful. Free WiFi was a lifesaver, especially since there was nothing else to do here. Oh, and there were some shops, but they were as exciting as watching paint dry.
